Is the hotel Burnham in Chicago a good hotel?
In april we are going to chicago for my birthday. We got a room at the hotel burnham for 150.00 a night which is really good. Is this a nice hotel. There are 4 people in our family. 2 adults and then a 16 and 12 year old. Will there be enough room in the room. 2 of us are over 6 feet tall.
Is this a nice hotel?
Thanks.
That is without a doubt my favourite hotel – anywhere.
It’s in a good location, directly across the street from shopping, stores like Old Navy, Nordstroms Rack and more down the road. It is also kitty corner to a Macy’s, and down the road is a bookstore. It has pretty much any type of store you could imagine within walking distance. We also walk to Navy Pier every December, which means that walking there is do-able any other time of year as well.
There will absolutely be enough room for two people over 6 feet tall. My husband is 6′2, and it wasn’t even an issue. We had a room on the second floor, and our ceiling was very, very high. While my sister had a room on the 4th floor, her wasn’t as high, but it still wasn’t low by any means.
The beds are really comfortable, the views are great (I would ask for a view over State St.) and even you can even request a goldfish in the room. The elevators are almost always open in the lobby, so you can walk right in and head to your room.
The staff is friendly, and we even had soft jazz music playing when we went into the room. I would without a doubt recommend this hotel to you and your family – you won’t be disappointed.
Enjoy your trip! Feel free to e-mail me if you have any other questions
